Rev. Irvine B. Edgerton B.A. M.A. D. Min

My father ,the Rev.Irvine B. Edgerton wore many hats. A disabled Veteren of the Korean war who Studied  opera and other music for many years; was a High School teacher and had a masters degree in industrial arts, psychology and  Christian counceling. Worked as a DJ in Tuolumne County back in 1969 and also became a farrier just for fun. Although he lived long enough to see several of his great grandchildren come into this world, he didn't live long enough to finish his "Care of the Soul" Bible Study.       Therefore , I will do my best , with God's help, to present this study in a way that he would want and be proud of.

He was too tall (6'7") and a bit philosophical for some, bouring to others - mostly to his high school students, but he usually took care of that by sending class "trouble-makers" to the automotive department for cans of stripped paint (and they always took the bait!)  To everyone els who mattered, he was  fun and sometimes.... usually... goofy. In a journal I have written, I best described him as a cross between the lovable "Hurman Munster" and  a  classy "Shawn Connery". In any case, please enjoy this study, and use it . As my father stated,"The Church of Christ has seen enough division and needs no more. These issues are of vital importance to all Christians, as well as to all people.

Pop, on the ranch with the guys  (to spite his own war leg injuries)  puting corrective shoes on my mare DeeDee Patch.

" A Voice Apart" CD's (2003), and "Of Rivers and Time" tapes that my father had recorded back in 1992 with CMC Records & Tapes are still available. This music is not the hip-hop type of music that most of us to listen today- Dad loved the old-fashioned hymns.  And although the CD was published for the serious vocalist, Purchase one, just for fun.
